Kohala Institute at ‘Iole is dedicated to catalyzing values-driven action and leadership.

We are the stewards of 2,400 acres in North Kohala on the Island of Hawai`i that includes the historic ahupua'a, ‘Iole.

We are guided by our core values GRACE.

We provide opportunities for people to reconnect with the land and universal values in order to cultivate transformation in ourselves, our communities and beyond.

Our initiatives focus on sustainability, education, arts & culture and contemplation.

We bring together East and West, sacred and secular, traditional and modern.

Our mission is to offer conditions for people to heal, renew, revive, and practice Right Relationship for the benefit of all.

The Land of 'Iole

Opening to our nurturing natural environment awakens our responsibility to respect and care for the earth.

By strengthening our connection to where we live, work and play, we strengthen our connection to one another.

The land of ‘Iole provides conditions for us to heal and cultivate our relationship with the earth, ourselves and each other.

Through programming at ‘Iole, we deepen our relationship with the land.
